Founded by Chef Raj Veerella in 2000, Banjara was built on passion, experience, and respect for tradition. Over time, his journey from the Hilton in Bahrain to Toronto’s most respected kitchens shaped a culinary vision that blends classic Indian recipes with refined technique. As a result, every dish reflects both heritage and craftsmanship.
While our name has evolved, our purpose has remained the same — to honor traditional family recipes using the freshest organic ingredients and carefully selected spices. Because of this, our food is both comforting and exciting, familiar yet bold.
Today, Banjara is a place where families, friends, and food lovers come together. Ultimately, every visit is part of our continuing story — one filled with warmth, flavor, and community.
